We are seeking a reliable, attentive, and compassionate Overnight Caregiver / Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring our residents are safe, comfortable, and well-cared for throughout the night, combining direct personal care with safe medication administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Medication Administration: Safely prepare, administer, and document medications during evening and morning passes according to physician orders and state regulations.
- Overnight Monitoring: Conduct regular safety checks throughout the night to ensure resident safety and well-being.
- Direct Resident Care: Assist residents with evening and morning Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including brushing teeth, changing into pajamas/clothes, toileting, incontinence care, and mobility or transfer assistance.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve a simple, nutritious evening snack or early morning breakfast as needed.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform quiet, non-disruptive household tasks overnight, such as resident laundry, sanitizing common areas, cleaning bathrooms and organizing supplies.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to resident call lights, alarms, or urgent needs during the night shift.
Qualifications and Requirements

Certifications:
- Valid Certified Medication Technician (CMT) or Med Tech license required.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Experience: Prior experience working an overnight shift in an assisted living facility or residential care home is highly preferred.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stay awake, alert, and active during a 12-hour overnight shift. Ability to lift, push, pull, and assist with resident transfers.
- Attributes: Dependable, detail-oriented, patient, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check.
